Cold Cast Bronze
Ishtar
Ishtar, cold cast bronze hand polished statue, by Derek Frost design, of Ishtar the goddess of fertility, love, war, and sex and power. Ishtar symbolizes love, including that between human and animals, its power, and its danger.

Resin
Peace Goddess
Love. Harmony. Compassion. Sometimes all our efforts to bring images to the world that inspire devotion to deity seem to be not enough. The Sacred Source artisan community in India felt compelled, by the troubling nature of our times, to try to do more. This moving image was created by our artisans as a memorial to peace. A classical form goddess cradles the green man / earth in her arms. She is weeping in sorrow for war, suffering, famine, disease, religious intolerance, and harm to the environment. She tenderly embraces the earth with love for all of creation. The sorrow is deep, but where there is love there is hope. May the Goddess guide us toward peace. 9" resin statue, peach wash color finish.
Ishtar
Queen of Heaven and Earth. She assures plentiful harvests. In Babylonian culture, Ishtar was known as "she who endowed the king with prestige." Ishtar's priestesses were credited with bringing forth a bountiful crops and prosperity. 8 3/4" Ganges clay statue, unfinished.
Anahita
Lioness Lady, Queen of Beasts. Her name means "Goddess." She arises out of ancient Caanan, then Persia, with links to Lilith, Ishtar, Mithras, Diana of Ephesus and Durga. 8 3/4" gypsumstone statue, red bronze color finish.
Lady of the Beasts
Goddess of all animal life, all creatures answer to her call. Surrounded by members of the animal kingdom, the Goddess displays her role in supporting life on earth. Her kinship with animal totems shows she is a driving force for fertility in the natural world and able to assume animal form herself. Her lions link her with an arc of Great Goddesses, from Sekmet to Lilith, Cybele, Anahita, across to Durga. Her upward and downward facing rabbits show the union of opposites and the beginning of the spiral of life. 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" resin plaque, bronze color finish.
