Monkshood
aka Wolfbane.
A very poisonous plant, Monkshood is used in Ayurveda, a traditional medicine native to India, and in Traditional Chinese medicine.
In folklore, wolfbane was also said to make a person into a werewolf if it is worn, smelled, or eaten. It is also said to kill werewolves if they wear, smell, or eat wolfbane.
Monkshood was a component in flying ointments of the Middle Ages.
