Vintage Small Lydia Pinkham Flask for the Woman who Wants to Have Her Tonic With Her at all Times - Usually 18% to 50% Alcohol.
Most of the products of the time had alcohol, opium or cocaine in the formula. The Pure Food & Drug Act of 1906 was the start of the end for such products.
Lydia Estes Pinkham 1819 – 1883 was an iconic concocter and shrewd marketer of a commercially successful herbal-alcoholic "women's tonic" meant to relieve menstrual and menopausal pains. Her products are still available today.
